Holy Perspective

In conjunction with its annual exhibit of work by twelve artists from the Association of Israel’s Decorative Arts (AIDA), the Barn Gallery at Stonover Farm in Lenox, Mass., welcomes local artists Emmett Leader and Paul Graubard for A Shared Perspective, June 13 through July 24. The show focuses on Israeli textiles, ceramics, and jewelry; the show also includes large-scale clay and woodwork pieces by Leader as well as works in mixed media by Graubard, both of which pull themes from the artists’ personal lives and from Biblical stories. As one exhibit with many facets, A Shared Perspective sheds new light on the importance and progression of Judaism and spirituality in contemporary art. [JUNE 2010]
