Lucie Arnaz to Perform at Barrington Stage
(PITTSFIELD , Mass., March 25, 2011) – Lucie Arnaz, the daughter of actors Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, will perform Latin Roots!, a cabaret of standard pop tunes and Latin music on the mainstage at Barrington Stage Company (BSC) on Monday, June 20, at 7. And cabaret artist and composer Amanda McBroom, who wrote the smash hit, “The Rose,” made famous by Bette Midler in the movie of the same name, returns for an encore engagement at BSC for two nights on September 23 and 24 at 8 at Stage 2.
Other additions to BSC’s 2011 season include a staged reading of Mrs. Lincoln’s Séance, a new play by Mark St. Germain (Freud’s Last Session, The Best of Enemies) on Monday, August 15 at 7 on the Mainstage; a new version of Songs By Ridiculously Talented Composers and Lyricists You Probably Don’t Know, But Should... curated by two-time Tony Award-winner William Finn, on September 2 and 3 at 8 on the Mainstage; and a staged reading of Kunstler, a new play by Jeffrey Sweet about radical lawyer William Kunstler starring Jeff McCarthy in the title role, on September 3 at 4 and September 4 at 7:30 at Stage 2.
