In September 2008, the Berkshire Humane Society amped up its outreach by launching a Dog Blog as a personalized accompaniment to its comprehensive website. The blog offers a well-balanced range of up-to-date information for curious pet owners and intrigued browsers, plus opportunities to help support the Pittsfield, Massachusetts-based shelter, which opened in 1992 and recently created a satellite cat adoption center in Great Barrington.

 

Lighthearted yet informative, the blog is a go-to reference: the knowledgeable BHS staff shares valuable, relatable tips on caring for and training canine companions. Video clips introduce the animals’ charming personalities and show off their new tricks, so that dog lovers can get to know the individual pooches.
